The Board met in Davao City, Philippines on September 25-26, 2024, hosted by the University of Southeastern Philippines (USEP), a GDLN affiliate. This year’s Board meeting was held in conjunction with the GDLN AP Regional Meeting. The meeting opened with remarks from Dr. Bonifacio Gabales, Jr., the President of the USEP, followed by an official MOU signing ceremony between USEP and GDLN. Greetings from the GDLN Global Secretariat! 2023 was a meaningful year for the GDLN Community. The GDLN Global Board meeting was held offline for the first time since the pandemic in Seoul, Korea. [News] 2023 GDLN Global Board Meeting

The Board met in Seoul, Korea on September 7, 2023, the first offline meeting since the pandemic. Glenn Withers, Chair of the GDLN Global Board, opened the meeting with a review of the 16th GDLN Global Board meeting, held online in November, 2022 and major related developments since that meeting. This covered affiliate changes, partnership initiatives, marketing and communication, new funding and advocacy opportunities, and micro credential policy development. Twenty-nine participants from 16 countries participated in the GDLN Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting via video conference and offline simultaneously on September 6, 2023 hosted by KDI School of Public Policy and Management. The GDLN Affiliates engaged with old and new GDLn affiliates, and GDLN Global Board Members and discussed how GDLN can better serve learning objectives in the development world post COIVD19.
